Beauty Review: MBD Bird's Nest Mask

NOTE: Try this product at your own risk. If it works for me, it does not mean it will work for you too. Everyone has different types of skin. My skin consists of dry - combination - sensitive type of skin.

MY BEAUTY DIARY MASK: BIRD'S NEST
whitens. nourishes. renews.

Bird’s nest extract, a precious ingredient, and corallina officinalis, the so-called “bird’s nest from the bottom of the sea”, intensely enhances skin’s moisture level, and nourishes strongly.

Hydrolyzed soy and rice protein enhance skin’s defense, elasticity and transparency. They also relieve discomfort resulting from dryness

It is suitable for normal skin. It is especially recommended for dry, rough and dull skin.

These My Beauty Diary masks were given to me by Rina rae630.blogspot.com/ and I was also sent by http://shoppingholics.com one mask to try and review.

In http://shoppingholics.com, they have different My Beauty Diary masks and sells them individually for $1.90. It's great if you don't really want to buy boxes, and just want to really try different kinds of My Beauty Diary masks without breaking the bank. They just gave me one piece to try but since Rina gave me some before and tried this mask a few times, I already am confident to review them.

MY SKIN:
Like I mentioned in my skin care routine post http://withadriyah.blogspot.com/2011/01/skin-care-routine.html I use mask once a week because my skin gets really sensitive when I use mask twice and I get redness all over. My skin is fairly dry during winter so My Beauty Diary Mask in Bird's Nest is one of my favorites because it hydrates and nourishes my dry skin.

I start off by washing my face with my cleanser

I don't use toner so after I wash my face, I just pat my face dry

Yes, I'm wearing circle lens here. I will review them in a separate post. I love them a lot! They're so comfortable :)

Then I apply the mask and use the excess serum on my palm and apply it all over my neck

I leave the mask on for 30-40 minutes (the direction online says to leave it on for 20-30 minutes but I like to leave mine longer) and sometimes even an hour. I just paint my nails or surf the net while the mask is on my face :) It's really up to you on how long you want the mask on your face.

This is after I removed the mask. As you can see, serum was still on my skin. I just let my skin absorb that and when it's dry, I apply my eye cream and go to bed.

PROS: I really love this mask a lot! I think if I ever have to buy a My Beauty Diary Mask, it will be Bird's Nest because it lives up to my expectation! It nourishes, it does whiten (watch out!) and hydrates my dry skin. It's cheap also (if you buy them in boxes and finds a great deal online). It feels good after each mask and you just feels relaxed after.

CONS: It's not readily available (I'm not really sure which stores, if there's any around my area, carries these). It whitens the skin so my face is actually whiter than my neck! Haha! I don't mind really but of course some people will find this..uhm..not nice :P It's not like it's 5x whiter but I think my face is visibly lighter than my neck especially in pictures.

OVERALL: I would buy this over and over again! If I have to choose which only My Beauty Diary Mask I would buy, it would be Bird's Nest :)

My Rating:

Which My Beauty Diary Mask is your favorite?

FTC: I am not affiliated with any company. I wasn't compensated to post this entry. These mask we're given to me by a friend for personal use and ONE mask is given to me by http://shoppingholics.com for review purposes only. The above review is based on my experience.
