Skin Update and Latest Haul

Hi guys!! It's.. *looks at the clock* 2:33AM now.. I know, I know its late. I actually slept pretty much all day today because I was off, and its raining.. and well, it feels good to finally catch some snooze. How are you guys? Hope everyone is doing well..

Me? Well.. errrr.. I'm coping.. Of course we all face some issues from time to time but March was pretty *excuse my language* shitty month for me. :( Actually Feb-March was really bad!!! In all aspects (except maybe my job which I'm thankful for) of my life. One of them is my skin issues. Ok, so some of you guys know that I bought a Clarisonic Mia well long time ago but haven't gotten around to using it until Feb of this year. Pretty much ruined my entire face :( They said "purging" is normal. Whoever says "purging" is normal is out of their minds!! Who would want an acne face and then it would heal and will leave you with all the acne scars and pock marks?! Well, I don't want that so as soon as my skin started "purging" I stopped using Clarisonic but my skin was never the same again. First I had these "fleshy bumps" on my forehead then I started having very small zits (like a lot of them) on my entire chin. I feel so shitty that I started using --- to name a few --- Benzoyl Peroxide, Salicylic Acid, and my latest -- Retin A (which gave me a super dry skin). My skin is healing but its taking so long. Too long. I hate this. I don't know what to do because I have tried almost everything (except facial and laser). I went to a dermatologist and well she prescribed me the Retin-A and some cleanser, toner, etc that they sell on their clinic. It wasn't worth it because it was too expensive and it stings to death!!!

Are you ready for pictures? You sure? "X" it if its too gross. Haha! But Ok, Here.. It's embarrassing but I know some of you guys understand what I'm going through...

Here is with make up already (just some tinted moisturizer).

You can see the bumps in the middle of my eyebrows and of course my chin.

Here is without make up. Looks so ugly. *screams* I would always be shocked looking @ the mirror. Haha.. *finding humor in this kind of situation kinda hard* SIGH

Here is with a good BB Cream and concealer (no photoshop). Covers all the imperfection. Hehe. Well actually the pictures below were taken 2 weeks after the pictures from above. I will reveal my skincare routine soon (the one that's helping my skin heal - it's still ongoing. Unfortunately, it takes time).

Oh ya, did I mention I got my braces off? Wearing these ugly retainers. My first impression? WOW I HAVE HUGE TEETH!! SLIMY TOO!!

It's like this photo "What the heck, my lips feels weird without braces"

Ok, I guess we move on to the more interesting stuff - HAUL! Haha!

This Hello Kitty make up bag is gorgeous,  but I'm not proud of this purchase. I say it's a nice traincase to have but for the price? MEH! It's $100 for those who are curious. It's definitely an impulse buy. You know you get that when you are feeling down then you see something "ahhh I want to have that!" then you just grab it and when the SA ring it and tells you it's $100 + tax, you just close your eyes, take your card out and swipe? LOL. Then after you get out of the store, you keep chanting "it's nice.. and well I deserve it" Haha. Well, I'm telling you right now, It's so expensive!!!! I nearly died. lol!

To top it all, I haven't use it, just sitting on top of my table. I pass by it and I tell the bag "you so expensive..oh my" lol!

This one -- I really need. Yes it's a necessity. I needed a watch that has seconds for work and I thought, "why not a hello kitty watch?" It's $45. (minus 10% off - it was on sale! YAY!)

This one is $75 but I didn't pay for it --  my co workers did! Hahah! They gave me a gift card to Sanrio for my birthday and I wasn't able to use it because I don't know what to get but when I saw this bag, I thought, "hmmmm... might as well use the gift card!" So thanks co workers :D My first purple bag. Hehe!

And recently, been eating to Korean BBQ places. This one is at SHIK DO RAK in OC. Yummy! Course, I gotta throw foodie pics :P

Hmmmm.. that is all for now!! Will update very soon! *looks at the clock* It's 3:10am. *yawns* Umaga na makatulog na nga!! (for those who speaks Tagalog).

Skincare Haul and More

Hello Everyone!! *waves* Just want to share to you guys what I have  been buying lately. Not much really.  When I buy stuff, sometimes I forget to take pictures of them especially when I do want to use it right away. :)

I went to the Skinfood Place in Cerritos. I really like  that mall. So much good stores they got there. Well anyway, I was just going to get me some lip balm for my chapped lips but I couldn't help but get some other things too!

I got the Parsley and Mandarin Essence for Troubled Skin. Like I said in my other post, I've been breaking out lately on my chin. It's so bad that I feel like hiding in a cave. :( So I've been trying to go back on my steps to see what I have done wrong and what skincare was new to my daily stuff so I can get rid of it. Well, it was the overuse of Clarisonic. Once I cut back on that, other acne starts to disappear but I still have lots on my chin, it's pretty horrible. This product is helping me manage them a bit but it's not a miracle worker *sigh*

I also got the Coffee Scrub which is my favorite purchase from that place. It smells yummy and it just  leaves my body so soft and smooth. The lotion glides in so smoothly whenever I use this. *fave* I will repurchase for sure or maybe try their rice scrub :)

The last one is the rose lip balm which smells good and it has a nice tint on my lips. I apply it before I sleep so I can wake up to soft lips :) I wanted to buy the pot but that will  be next after I finish this balm.

This one is a gift from my husband. Well, I've been trying to work out at LA fitness with a fellow blogger Angelique. It's always best to work out with someone because you get motivated. We do cycling, yoga and zumba. Next one I'll be trying is the kickboxing and hopefully I'll survive because she told me it's hard work.

I did not gym this week though because I have been feeling under the weather and been feeling sick, sad, all  the not so nice stuff and no I am not pregnant. lol. It's just one of those days I guess :(

Anyway, that's it for now. I will update again soon :)

Hello

Hi everyone. How's your year 2012 so far? I feel like its been so long since I wrote in here and its not true because I had a blog post only last month. LOL. I know, I fell off blogger and has not been consistent on updating my blog. I don't even know the latest MAC Collection anymore. Sometimes I don't even know what to blog.. Some company has been emailing me to do  blog reviews. Products seems interesting but I didn't respond until today when I finally decide, why not go to blogging again? I still take pictures of the stuff I bought (hauled) and I still love make up as much as before (even though I rarely buy make up now) and yes I still keep in touch with a lot of my blogger friends. They have been awesome, and sometimes I even get to hang out with them (though we rarely talk about make up. hahah!) My skin is also not in its best condition, another reason why I don't want to blog yet, but its getting better.. It's just overuse of the clarisonic mia i guess. Hahah! Anyways, just a quick hello!

Beauty Review: Baviphat Sugar Girl Moist Collagen BB Cream

NOTE: Try this product at your own risk. If it works for me, it does not mean it will work for you too. Everyone has different types of skin. My skin consists of dry - combination - sensitive type of skin.

BAVIPHAT SUGAR GIRL MOIST COLLAGEN BB CREAM

This BB Cream was provided by http://shoppingholics.com for review purposes only. I did not get paid to do this review and I'm not affiliated to the said company.

This is the first time I heard about Baviphat brand. I was curious so I went ahead and agreed to try it. All year long, I have been off foundation. I like BB Creams better than most foundations. Why?

♥ Most BB creams are built in with SPF which is the most vital skin care you can use to avoid sun spots, sun burned and premature againg.
♥ Most BB Creams have already built in primer and concealer so you can save money of not buying primers and concealer and just use one product.
♥ Most BB Creams fade acne spots - I used to have a lot of acne scars
♥ Most BB Creams have healing properties which can help you with acne

Baviphat Sugar Girl Moist Collagen BB Cream claimes to CONCEAL, SMOOTH, MOISTURIZE, and PROTECT. It also helps with the healing process of a troubled skin like when its peeling or after a laser treatment.

This BB Cream is actually cheap for 30mL. Lasts a long time because little goes a long way!

Dotting the BB Cream on my face... You only need a little bit. Spread it on a clean, moisturized face.

During summer, I get dark. I am usually NC 35-40 (MAC foundation) so this BB Cream is actually light on me. I think I rather use this BB Cream during winter when I get a little bit lighter but for those NC 25 and below, you're good to use this.

As you can see, it does leave a white cast on pictures because of the built in SPF on it so I don't recommend this during night outs and taking pictures, unless you want to look like casper or a coke-r.

It's easy to spread, the skin absorbs it well, and it leaves like a powdery finish so I didn't even need any finishing powder after. I have dry skin though so I need a moisturizer before I even apply this or it will look dry on my face.

Overall, I do recommend this BB cream. The price is right and it works, as long as you won't use this while taking pictures at night. The lasting power is great as well (I'm not sure for those who have oily skin). I didn't have to re-apply powder or cream through out the day. The product claims to be waterproof, so I like using this during hot sunny days because its light and well when I sweat, it doesn't get smudged off.

Overall Rating:

Do you have a favorite BB Cream? Which one and why?

Beauty Review: MBD Bird's Nest Mask

NOTE: Try this product at your own risk. If it works for me, it does not mean it will work for you too. Everyone has different types of skin. My skin consists of dry - combination - sensitive type of skin.

MY BEAUTY DIARY MASK: BIRD'S NEST
whitens. nourishes. renews.

Bird’s nest extract, a precious ingredient, and corallina officinalis, the so-called “bird’s nest from the bottom of the sea”, intensely enhances skin’s moisture level, and nourishes strongly.

Hydrolyzed soy and rice protein enhance skin’s defense, elasticity and transparency. They also relieve discomfort resulting from dryness

It is suitable for normal skin. It is especially recommended for dry, rough and dull skin.

These My Beauty Diary masks were given to me by Rina rae630.blogspot.com/ and I was also sent by http://shoppingholics.com one mask to try and review.

In http://shoppingholics.com, they have different My Beauty Diary masks and sells them individually for $1.90. It's great if you don't really want to buy boxes, and just want to really try different kinds of My Beauty Diary masks without breaking the bank. They just gave me one piece to try but since Rina gave me some before and tried this mask a few times, I already am confident to review them.

MY SKIN:
Like I mentioned in my skin care routine post http://withadriyah.blogspot.com/2011/01/skin-care-routine.html I use mask once a week because my skin gets really sensitive when I use mask twice and I get redness all over. My skin is fairly dry during winter so My Beauty Diary Mask in Bird's Nest is one of my favorites because it hydrates and nourishes my dry skin.

I start off by washing my face with my cleanser

I don't use toner so after I wash my face, I just pat my face dry

Yes, I'm wearing circle lens here. I will review them in a separate post. I love them a lot! They're so comfortable :)

Then I apply the mask and use the excess serum on my palm and apply it all over my neck

I leave the mask on for 30-40 minutes (the direction online says to leave it on for 20-30 minutes but I like to leave mine longer) and sometimes even an hour. I just paint my nails or surf the net while the mask is on my face :) It's really up to you on how long you want the mask on your face.

This is after I removed the mask. As you can see, serum was still on my skin. I just let my skin absorb that and when it's dry, I apply my eye cream and go to bed.

PROS: I really love this mask a lot! I think if I ever have to buy a My Beauty Diary Mask, it will be Bird's Nest because it lives up to my expectation! It nourishes, it does whiten (watch out!) and hydrates my dry skin. It's cheap also (if you buy them in boxes and finds a great deal online). It feels good after each mask and you just feels relaxed after.

CONS: It's not readily available (I'm not really sure which stores, if there's any around my area, carries these). It whitens the skin so my face is actually whiter than my neck! Haha! I don't mind really but of course some people will find this..uhm..not nice :P It's not like it's 5x whiter but I think my face is visibly lighter than my neck especially in pictures.

OVERALL: I would buy this over and over again! If I have to choose which only My Beauty Diary Mask I would buy, it would be Bird's Nest :)

My Rating:

Which My Beauty Diary Mask is your favorite?

FTC: I am not affiliated with any company. I wasn't compensated to post this entry. These mask we're given to me by a friend for personal use and ONE mask is given to me by http://shoppingholics.com for review purposes only. The above review is based on my experience.
