Love Packs from my L♥ves! & Update

A little babbling.. (you know you want to read it! hahah! Just kidding)
Hello Everyone!! =) I just want to update you all what has happening with me.. I am working mornings until the 15th of this month and it just makes me so tired :( I am guessing I am not used to this schedule (8am-4:30pm) that every time I get home, I just want to curl up to my bed and sleep *sigh Oh, the reason why my schedule is like this because I hurt my back. We got into a car accident the day we got back from our vacation trip and I now suffer from back and neck pain. On top of that, I have bruises on my knees. It was really a bad accident. I am just thankful, not much damage have done and that Adrian is OK.

Adrian is still recovering (for those who didn't know, he had an ACL/Meniscus surgery) and is still using crutches. He can't put pressure on his right foot so he is having a hard time moving around the house, especially we live in a 3rd floor apartment with no elevator.

We haven't really settled in yet in our new home because Adrian couldn't help me with the heavy stuff. We bought a new dining table! YAY! I have been wanting to get us our own dining table since the last one that we had was a hand me down from our parents. I am so happy and will take pictures once everything is fixed here around the apartment. I am very happy with our new home  though. It's everything I have imagined! Quiet community, nice view, walk in closet, balcony. I just wish it has more storage space. We have no coat closet! lol. But I can manage to live without that :) I hope we won't have to move again for the next few years. Hahaha! It is so hard to pack, move, unpack. :( I still remember sometime last year when we moved in to that apartment (the one we had before). I knew that we won't be living there for a long time so I refused to even make holes on the walls. :P

If anyone is curious, I now live in Rancho Cucamonga (a minute away from Ontario Mills and Victoria Garden)

Ok, enough with my babbling. I probably bored you guys already :)

■■■■■■■■■■■
I had received so many love packs even before I went on a vacation, and I am so grateful to have met such beautiful ladies inside and out. They're just so generous and they love giving without waiting for anything in return, and I am so blessed to have them in my life. ♥

Mel is such a sweetie. She always surprises me with stuff, like my birthday last year, she had surprised me with a gift pack :) She is very thoughtful to have given me these stuff. How does she know I always use straw whatever I drink. Haha! I even drink coffee with a straw of fear that the coffee or even tea might stain my braces, so yeah even hot drinks, I drink it with straw. I go nuts and refuse to drink coffee when I can't find a straw. :P

Thank you so much sweetie, you are such a wonderful friend. Thanks for cheering me up during my crazy shifts at the hospital.

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Juli also sent me a love pack just because :) She is sweet, young, very talented jewelry artistan. I have lots of her creations (mostly earrings) and I highly recommend her because her stuff is not only affordable but they are also durable and nice!!! Just look at the hello kitty necklace she sent me! So beautiful!!!

Thank You Juli. I have not forgotten you, you know. I miss you!! Let's do guppy's soon! I haven't had brick toast in soooo long! hahaha!

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Kay is another sweet blogger. I have helped her get something from here but I didn't expect her to give me something in return. She is just so generous! She gifted me with an HK tiger on my birthday last year. I think that tiger gave me good luck. Hahaha :) She also gave me a Sleek palette. It has gorgeous colors and is so pigmented! YAY!!!

Thank You Kay!! You didn't have to. You're just so sweet :)

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Rae/Rina has spoiled me rotten already! Hahahah! She gave me so  much stuff, that I almost died in happiness every time I open a box from her. She is just too too generous!!! She has given me so much hello kitty stuff and mask already ♥ I can't even explain this girl's sweetness. I just smiled every time I see my drawer full of mask :) All thanks to her! I don't know what I've done to deserve such sweetness, such thoughtfulness from her.

Rina, I hope to meet you really soon. If our schedule won't permit, I hope early next year, we will be able to meet so I can thank you in person *hugs* love you!!!

I love this bag! Such perfect size to put masks or make up when you're traveling :)

She gave me more MBD masks to try. These are the new masks of MBD :) I love MBD Bird's nest the best -- it really brightens up your skin and rehydrates it. ♥

Then as if the above stuff wasn't enough, she sent me more stuff. Early Christmas presents. Aweeee!!! Such a sweetie! Look at all these stuff!

This made me squeal!!! I love HK nerd! OMG I will save up for the bag one to match this coin purse! It's so cuteeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! *squeals again* I am in love! hahaha!

YAY for lashes!! I want to use lashes everyday now. You can totally see the different when you use one :) It opens up the eyes. And this one she gave me doesn't poke my eyes so I love it. Rina, where can I get this nice lashes? :)

She also gave me magnets! So i put them on my refrigerator! So cute!! Heehee!!!

Look at my masks drawer! So much masks!! *Squeals*** She had fulfilled my masks cravings :)

Thank you so much my babes!! You are all the best, you have made my entire year! I love you all!

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Lisa from Makeup and Life hosted a really nice give away -- Paul & Joe give away and I was the lucky winner!! Ahhhhhh!!! I love Paul & Joe because of its cuteness, although I only have 1 or 2 items as they're very pricey. lol!

Thank You Lisa for hosting such generous give away! :)

Inside is a lip treatment, blotting sheets with a mirror and more blotting sheets :)

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Oh, btw, I have bought me a vanity dresser. I was going to get the regular vanity dresser which you would sit and do your make up but I fell in love with this malm 6 drawers because you can put so much stuff in it! It already has a mirror attached to it and you can close that mirror if you want to.

Sneak peak of one of the drawers are my nail polish :) I want more nail polish! Hahaha! :)

Hope you all are having a great day or week. :)

Beauty Review: FaceShop White Mud Nose Pack & April Favorites

NOTE: Try this product at your own risk. If it works for me, it does not mean it will work for you too. Everyone has different types of skin. My skin consists of dry - combination - sensitive type of skin.

FTC: I bought this product with my own money. I did not get paid to do this review, I am not affiliated with the company and this review is only based on my experience.

THE FACESHOP WHITE MUD NOSE PACK

(Description and Image from: http://www.thefaceshopen.com)

UPDATE: The price is only$6 pre-tax!

Concept: Formulated with White Mud and Burdock extract to effectively cleanse pores this practical peel-off nose pack removes the blackheads on your nose and forehead.

Description: Unlike many blackhead-removing nose strips White Mud Nose Pack is an economic and more versatile. Can be used on different areas and has better adhesion to your skin. Additional ingredients Aloe Wormwood and licorice works to soothe and to prevent dehydration.

My Experience:
I first heard of this nose pack from my friend and blogger: xppinkx. Here is her review on the same product. http://xppinkxx.blogspot.com/2010/04/its-fucking-shit.html I was totally convinced when I saw her results. So amazing! Thanks also to http://notarichgirl.blogspot.com/ for helping me get this product. It's sold out in LA.

She sent me all of this product. I am still working on the review for the Spot Eraser. I want an extensive review on that because its also an amazing product by Faceshop.
Thank You http://notarichgirl.blogspot.com for helping me get this product :] You are a life savior. Love you lots!!♥

So OK, first of, I want to tell you that my nose is not that clogged since I have been using B•liv Off With Those Heads. You can read my review about that here: http://withadriyah.blogspot.com/2010/03/beauty-review-bliv-by-cellnique.html

Before I used any of those said products, my nose looks horrible, rough, lots of blackheads and whiteheads.

But After using the B•liv Off With Those Heads Gel, my nose looked better and has a lot less white heads. See how it decreased the nasty things that was in the side of my nose?

But of course I still want to try different products so I decided to try the Faceshop White Mud Nose Pack and I'm happy that I did. I thought there would be no more gunk that's going to come out but there's more! >_<

Here's me with the Faceshop White Mud Nose Pack

Here's the husband using the product as well. Hahaha. I want to try it on him and he agreed for me to take pictures. (Thanks baby for being so cooperative) :]

The results? See it for yourself! This is mine and I thought my nose is already free from whiteheads but I was wrong! Yuck!

And the husband's results? As you can see, he has a lot of whiteheads as well.

I wasn't able to take pictures of husband's nose after the treatment but I took a picture of my nose after the treatment: A lot smoother, cleaner, and hopefully free of gunk for now :P Notice also my acne scars - it has lightened! Yipee! I am happy on how my skin looked now. If you've been reading my blog, then you know I suffered from bad acne and acne scars just a month or a month and half ago.

PROS: It really cleans out the nose, gets the gunk out, and leaves your skin smooth and soft. It's only $6 compare to other treatments that are more expensive yet less effective. You can see the results right away and you'll be able to see how much gunk it took out of your nose. It's fast to dry also.

CONS: It hurts when you peel it. I just can't tolerate the pain that I was tearing when the hubby pulled the peel off. It's also hard to find since it's only available in Faceshops stores which are very limited. Also Faceshop don't ship their products so its even harder to get this. The product is also hard to spread and its very sticky.

OVERALL: I will repurchase it even if I have to travel to LA or NY just to get this product :P I will tolerate the pain if I have too. No pain no gain. aahhaha! :]

Ratings: ★★★★★

----------------------------------------------------

I'm so late again for April Favorites! So much distractions and if you follow me on twitter, you'd know I've been working too much hours the past few days..  It was just so busy that I only sleep for 3-4 hours a day the past few days :(

APRIL FAVORITES
I only have a few Favorites the month of April that I use almost everyday. :)

1. Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm - I just love this make up remover. I can say that this is an HG product for me. It takes away every trace of make up, leaving my face squeaky clean :) I don't think I'll be switching make up removers any time soon.

2. Hard Candy "Living Doll" Blush - I use this everyday whenever I go to work. I just love the hint of pink it gives my cheeks. A blush that I will be re-purchasing when I ran out of it. :)

3. B•liv Submerge Me Moisturizer - Seriously, this moisturizer takes care of the dryness of my skin. What I love about it is its an anti-aging moisturizer as well. I always have sleep-deprived nights and you know how lack of sleep can cause premature aging so I'm glad that this moisturizer is helping me in that area. :)

4. Buxom Mascara - This is my favorite Mascara ever! I'm bad because its been past 3 months since I bought this and yet I'm still using it. Haha. I need to buy me a new one once my no-buy (make up) ends.

5. Benefit You Rebel Lite - It's getting hot, I hate wearing any heavy creams or foundation on a hot day so I love wearing this tinted moisturizer. It's very light, it gives me dewy finish and I just love the smell as well.

6. B•liv Spots Got Shots - This has been my best friend during the time of the month or even when I get acne here and there. I don't break out that bad anymore like I used to. When I got my period, only 1-2 acne came out. When I get an acne, I apply this product right away. It won't work and disappear like the next day as much as I want to, but it minimize the redness and inflammation.

7. MAC "Hey" Eyeshadow - The 1st eyeshadow that hit the pan! Omgosh! I love this eyeshadow so much. It's so easy to blend and the color just brightens up my eyes. I need to get me a back up of this since its limited edition (right? not sure) but this came up with the Fafi collection and I heard it came out again recently. I have to have it again :P

That's all for my April Favorites! I have lots of May Favorites because I have been hauling like a mad lady last April and I was able to test them this month and I just love almost everything I bought :] So excited to show you guys!

NO MAKE UP BUY!

So it's been 8 days since I didn't buy any make up/skincare/nail polish. The challenge was for a month of no buy and as a make up/skincare addict, It's hard for all of us to do this. But we know that we can make it by supporting each other and motivating each other.

I give these ladies a warm of applause and a hug for doing this challenge with me. Love these ladies alot!

Anyway, that didn't stop me from buying some other things. hahaha. My goal for not buying make up/skincare is to consume first what I have before I buy again.

I bought this Hello Kitty Tokidoki from MetroPark. So cute! I want more :P I just love wearing t-shirts. Just too comfy :)

I also got these from the Tokyo store (I forgot the complete name of the store) and bough some HK storage and some HK plastic bags for my jewelry.

Here it is now. Hahaha! :)

Here's also a swatch of the Benefit "Posie Tint" I love lip tints!

And cam-whoring with the husband. Love it when he's driving coz he can't refuse to cam-whore with me :P I distract him so much when he drives :P

"fishy faces"

Love him so much! ♥

Yes I do have one dimple :P Only when I smile really hard. Hahaha!

People asked me, "Do you guys have kids?"
Answer: No, we don't have any kids yet, No we are not planning to have kids yet. Why? because we are still enjoying each other. Having kids is a great responsibility and we want to be ready when that time comes. I am not ready yet as I am still focus on my career and still enjoy traveling or going out with the husband and having nothing to worry about whos' going to take care of my kid if I go to work or just go out.

Another question was "How come you guys got married early then?"
Answer: Don't we marry anymore just because of love? It doesn't mean that when people get married early is because the woman got pregnant. We got married because we are sure that we are the one meant for each other and that he's mine forever, and I'm his forever (sounds corny but true).

Another question was: "How can you afford to buy all these expensive things when you also have bills and stuff"

Answer: I just want to clarify that I do earn my own money, the husband earn his own money, we have savings together, we make sure we pay all the bills first and whatever's left, we split that and put some in our savings account then enjoy whatever's left. The husband knows I work hard so he let me enjoy my/our money once in a while. I do seem to spend lots of money but I make sure that I still have money left for emergency. :) Plus you know I work extra hours so those extra money is mine!! heehee! :P

Hope you enjoy this long post and Also I want to thank you ladies for supporting me and commenting about the Last blog post "Critical Thinking". I have said my piece and whatever rebuttal the other chick will say or already said, I will leave it alone. :)

FAQs & DIY Brush Guards

FAQs [FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS]

Some of you guys asked me these questions frequently so here goes:

1. "Where did you get that Hello Kitty container?"
  • The Steralite drawers came from TARGET then I bought some Hello Kitty papers at Michaels and decorated the container with it. I believe they don't sell the Pink containers no more. I saw some Blue and Green there though.

2. "What brand is your Mirror and Where did you buy it? Is it bright?"
  • The brand is called Homedics and we got it at Costco and it costs $39.99 + tax. It has incandescent illumination and its not that bright. In my opinion, you still need a separate lamp when doing your make up at night.

3. "How do you take care of your hair?"
  • I only use heat tools [straighteners, blow driers, curlers] once a week or sometimes even once a month. I try not to! If I do, I use a Tresemme heat protector before using any heat tools. As much as possible, I let my hair air dry. I condition my hair everyday and keep a wide angled hair brush in the bathroom so after I condition my hair, I ran that brush to my hair to untangle it. Hair is very fragile when wet so be very careful. Towel dry, but remember to just pat it gently. Don't rub! They tend to get split in the ends when you do that. Try to not use any rubber bands when your hair is wet.

--

4. "Where did you get the beads inside your brush holder?"
  • I bought the beads at Michael's.

--

5. "Did you Eskinol Pearl worked for you?"
  • Unfortunately I lost it, and can't find it and wasn't able to get another one yet. Will update this sometime soon.
--

6. "What CCO do you go to and what are the collections they have right now?"
  • I go to the one near me which is the Ontario Mills Mall. They currently have Dame Edna Palettes, Heatherette Palettes and BP, and Emmanuel Ungaro stuff.
--

7. "Why do you buy so much make up?"
  • I really don't know. I know I'm an addict. That's all. ^^
--

8. "Where do you buy all your Japanese products?"
  • I buy them at Marukai or Mitsuwa which are all located at Orange County

--

9. "Where did you buy the Laneige Strawberry Yogurt Peel?"
--

10. "How do you make DIY Brush Holders?"
  • I actually got this idea from a fellow blogger who deleted her blog and videos. Her name is ilurvemakeup and she did this tutorial before on her blog.

Materials:
Any paper you chose
Your make up brush
Scissors
Scotch Tapes

Cut the paper in any size you want

Roll it the size of your brush then tape the ends

Roll it on your brush to see if it fits. If it doesn't, make adjustments

I also decorated the end of my make up brush with this HK tape

This is how it looks like when you roll it down

Enjoy your paper brush guards! :) Be creative and use different papers.

Let me know if you guys have any more questions and I'll be glad to add it in here :) Have a good day!
