FAQs & DIY Brush Guards

FAQs [FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS]

Some of you guys asked me these questions frequently so here goes:

1. "Where did you get that Hello Kitty container?"
  • The Steralite drawers came from TARGET then I bought some Hello Kitty papers at Michaels and decorated the container with it. I believe they don't sell the Pink containers no more. I saw some Blue and Green there though.

2. "What brand is your Mirror and Where did you buy it? Is it bright?"
  • The brand is called Homedics and we got it at Costco and it costs $39.99 + tax. It has incandescent illumination and its not that bright. In my opinion, you still need a separate lamp when doing your make up at night.

3. "How do you take care of your hair?"
  • I only use heat tools [straighteners, blow driers, curlers] once a week or sometimes even once a month. I try not to! If I do, I use a Tresemme heat protector before using any heat tools. As much as possible, I let my hair air dry. I condition my hair everyday and keep a wide angled hair brush in the bathroom so after I condition my hair, I ran that brush to my hair to untangle it. Hair is very fragile when wet so be very careful. Towel dry, but remember to just pat it gently. Don't rub! They tend to get split in the ends when you do that. Try to not use any rubber bands when your hair is wet.

4. "Where did you get the beads inside your brush holder?"
  • I bought the beads at Michael's.

5. "Did you Eskinol Pearl worked for you?"
  • Unfortunately I lost it, and can't find it and wasn't able to get another one yet. Will update this sometime soon.

6. "What CCO do you go to and what are the collections they have right now?"
  • I go to the one near me which is the Ontario Mills Mall. They currently have Dame Edna Palettes, Heatherette Palettes and BP, and Emmanuel Ungaro stuff.

7. "Why do you buy so much make up?"
  • I really don't know. I know I'm an addict. That's all. ^^
--

8. "Where do you buy all your Japanese products?"
  • I buy them at Marukai or Mitsuwa which are all located at Orange County

9. "Where did you buy the Laneige Strawberry Yogurt Peel?"
--

10. "How do you make DIY Brush Holders?"
  • I actually got this idea from a fellow blogger who deleted her blog and videos. Her name is ilurvemakeup and she did this tutorial before on her blog.

Materials:
Any paper you chose
Your make up brush
Scissors
Scotch Tapes

Cut the paper in any size you want

Roll it the size of your brush then tape the ends

Roll it on your brush to see if it fits. If it doesn't, make adjustments

I also decorated the end of my make up brush with this HK tape

This is how it looks like when you roll it down

Enjoy your paper brush guards! :) Be creative and use different papers.

Let me know if you guys have any more questions and I'll be glad to add it in here :) Have a good day!
