Beauty Review: Revlon Fantasy Lengths Lashes

FTC: I did not get paid to do this post and I am not affiliated with this company. These lashes were sent to me for free to try.

REVLON FANTASY LENGTHS LASHES

I was contacted by Ms. Janet Lai and offered if I want to try Revlon lashes. She sent me 3 lashes to try.

I don't use fake lashes everyday. I just use them when I feel like it or when there's a special occasion. I used to buy Revlon lashes and then forgot about them when I found some Japanese lashes that I fell in love with. Then when I tried Revlon again, I remembered why I really like it.

♥ The base of the lashes is thin so it looks natural
♥ It was very easy to apply
♥ It did not poke my eye like the Japanese lashes usually does
♥ There are so many designs/lengths to choose from
♥ It is very affordable and you can find it in any local drugstore
♥ It was easy to remove and it doesn't pull my real lashes

My only complain?
☹ The glue was hard to open even when using the top part or head of the glue to poke the foil. Also the glue gets really messy.

I hope to try the other Revlon lashes where you don't need any glue to apply.

Update (02.05.10)
I enrolled in Bikram Yoga class and it was my 1st day today. It was really fun and I totally enjoyed that class. It was hard, and I was sweating profusely as the room temperature was 90-100℉. All in all, it was such a good work out. My goal is to be physically and mentally fit in 3 months. :) Also I wanna be more flexible. :)

Beauty Review: MUFE HD Microperfecting Primer in Blue

NOTE: Try this product at your own risk. If it works for me, it does not mean it will work for you too. Everyone has different types of skin. My skin consists of dry -combination - sensitive type of skin.

Images and Information from Sephora.com

MAKE UP FOREVER HD MICROPERFECTING PRIMER

According to Sephora.com, these primers are lightweight, oil-free complexion corrector that enhances the skin's texture and primes the skin for make up application.

HD Microperfecting Primer deeply nourishes, moisturizes, and softens the skin, creating a glowing effect. Creates a protective layer on the skin allowing foundation to glide on easily and last longer.

I chose the BLUE one which claims to add radiance to fair skin and reduces minor imperfections. So what I do, after washing my face with my regular cleanser, I apply this primer all over my face and smooth it out using my bare hands.

Did you notice how my skin looked brighter in this picture? I really love this primer! It works real good and it does what it says.

PROS:
  • Ohh! I love this primer! It does what it says, it brightens up my skin, smoothens it and makes it real soft. There's no scent whatsoever and it didn't break me out. The texture is not silicone-y which is why I like it. This Primer is smooth and easy to apply. It makes my face looks flawless and trust me, my skin far from being flawless. I have so much flaws you don't want to see. lol. I like how it reduces redness and corrects minor imperfections. And yes its very lightweight and fast absorbing too! It also has high rating on Sephora.com

CONS:
  • Probably the price? Haha! I'm cheap :P Also if you think it will hide the acne scars on your skin, then you'd be disappointed. It only corrects minor imperfections such as redness in your skin. Other than that, I can't think of anymore CONS. I suggest if you want to try it, ask for a sample 1st before buying the full size.

OVERALL:
  • I would definitely buy it again! You saw the difference through my pictures! Huge difference! It brightens up my face too much, I look like I sleep all the time because my skin actually looks refreshed! For a girl who rarely sleeps, this is what we need! :) I bought the PINK one and I can't wait to do a review about it.

I'm sure you guys read my the wish list I created. I am so thankful that I got almost all of it, thanks to you guys! I got the Fresh Cut Palette from J.Rose and I can't thank her enough. I also got the M.A.C. Studio Moisture Tint which I'm loving so much. I need a back up. hahaha! :) And yes, I have not gotten the Clarisonic yet. I am still thinking and researching before I spend that much money on it. But I might because our skin is very important. Good Skin = less make up.

REVLON RUNWAY COLLECTION NAILS
3rd day of using the Revlon Artificial Nails. Still looks nice! I really love how short it is. Shorter than I sport my real nails. Haha :] You won't regret buying it. Saves you lots of money than going to an expensive salon!

Beauty Review: Revlon Runway Collection

Note: This is just my own opinion. Use it at your own risk.

REVLON RUNWAY COLLECTION
has these elegant artificial nails for a cheap price. I was given the opportunity to try them and here's my review about it.

It has been a year since I last wore artificial nails. Yes they can get really pricey! $40 + in a salon every 3 weeks can make you broke. Also I can't wear them at work for hygienic purposes [I work in a hospital] but I was given an opportunity to try them out and I thought, why not! Could be fun! ;]

PROS:
  • They are cheaper compare to salon prices
  • You can always try out different designs without breaking the bank
  • They are short so its work appropriate
  • They look nice and feel like salon artificial nails
  • They are easy to put on
  • Colors of the nails almost look like real nails
  • They're thick and strong
  • The set comes with a nail file, very strong glue, and an orange stick to remove excess glue
  • It lasts up to 10 days without worrying about breaking your nails
CONS:
  • Some of the nails, you need to re-size or buff to fit on your nails. The one they had for my pinkie was too wide
  • The glue dries out quick and got to my skin, I thought my skin would get ripped ;/ Be careful when using the glue. Its super glue! Very strong!
  • Need a very strong acetone to take it off
  • If you are not careful, air bubbles can get underneath your artificial nails

OVERALL:

I have always been fascinated with square looking nails because it looks really elegant but my nails are naturally round, and sometimes I file them to make it look square, still not satisfied with how it look so I used to get artificial nails at the salon. The problem is, it makes my natural nails so brittle plus its expensive.

But I was given the chance to try these Revlon Nails and I must say, I'm so impressed. They don't make my natural nails as brittle as like the salon nails. They are short and work appropriate so I doubt it if they will ever notice I was wearing fake nails.

I would definitely purchase it again for important dates and occasions. These sets are great if you are planning on just wearing it for a week and not spending too much money on great nails.
