Beauty Review: DKNY Be Delicious & Give Away! --CLOSED--

DKNY BE DELICIOUS!

"Oh, they do look delicious" -- Snow White

Unfortunately, I am no Snow White, but I do find this perfume indeed delicious! ♥ You see, I rarely like a perfume. I only have selected perfumes (maybe 2 or 3) that I like. Some scents make me dizzy, some scents make me get a migraine.

So when DKNY sent me this perfume to try, I was hesitant to spray it on my wrist (note that every perfume smells differently on people) because I was thinking that it might give me a migraine. I had it for a week on my drawer then finally yesterday, I sprayed it on my wrist and the back of my ears, and surprisingly, it smells good that I kept on smelling it over and over again!

You know how sometimes certain scents or smell triggers you to remember something from the past? Well, this perfume happens to make me remember my first time here in the US :) I am not sure why, but probably one of the notes that are in this perfume was something I had smelt when I arrived here. ♥ It was a pleasant memory so when I sprayed this, it made me smile :)

Notes:
American Apple, Cucumber, Grapefruit, Candid Magnolia, Tuberose, White Muguet, Rose, Violet, Sandalwood, Tender Skin Accord, Blonde Woods, White Amber.

Style:
Free-spirited. Refreshing. Unique.

Definitely Refreshing! :)

♥ We all know that we should spray perfume on our pulse area like our wrist. But I usually just spray it on my wrist and on the back of my ears :)
♥ "spray perfume where you'd liked to be kissed!" -- Coco Chanel

Universal Studios Trip

Note: I like reading blogs with a lot of pictures, but sometimes lots of pictures can slow your connection, so pardon me, I am posting a lot of pictures in this post.

Last October 07, Adrian and I decided to go to Universal Studios with my friend Kim. I don't live too far from Universals and yet it has been 6 years since I last went there. Hahaha! So, this time I actually had a lot more fun than I did the first time :)

It was actually cold when we went there.

Kim and I decided to buy some headbands. She bought Shrek ears and I wanted Fiona ears because of the crown. Hahah! I was gonna buy Donkey with the ears and tails, but it was expensive. lol!

Picture with Shrek. hahaha! He is so cute! LOL!

Who is happy getting eaten by a shark? ME! hahaha!

Some pictures of us with the characters there :) I love Spongebob! ♥

One of my favorite ride there is the tram ride tour where they show you around where the hollywood stars filmed some of the movies and TV shows :) I feel like I went to different places/countries while touring there. I really  liked it :)

Here they are showing us the buildings used in some of the movies. They looked real but really you can't go inside. It's only like for display or something.

Here, they are showing us how they filmed Too fast and Furious where one car is flying off the road. lol.

Here, they are showing us how they do the rain effects. First picture, it was all dry and 2nd picture, started raining. :)

I like this part where they were showing us how they do the "flash floods" So cool, I thought the water is gonna come in inside the tram.

Here, they were showing us "old places" Looks like ghost town. LOL!

Here is the show from Psycho - Bates Motel. The guy chasing us with his knife. I screamed. Hahaa!

Here is the set from the movie War of the Worlds. I liked that movie and their set was amazing :)

and this one is one of their show called "Water World"

Scary school bus :|

I enjoyed our trip there because like I said, it's been so long since I went there and I was glad that I was able to visit again. Our ticket is valid until April 2011, so if any of you guys going, I would love to go again :P

Beauty Review: Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream #23 Natural Beige

NOTE: Try this product at your own risk. If it works for me, it does not mean it will work for you too. Everyone has different types of skin. My skin consists of dry - combination - sensitive type of skin.

MISSHA M PERFECT COVER BB CREAM SPF 42 PA+++
(image from cosme-de.com)

I have ordered some BB creams including this Missha BB Cream from Cosme-de.com last October 02, and it arrived Oct 12! It was so fast considering that it came from HongKong! :) They also have this thing when you first registered to them, they will give you $5 off on your first purchase. In my case, the $5 off did not register on my total amount so I emailed them about it but they said they will take the $5 off when they charge me on my card.

What I like about cosme-de.com is their FREE SHIPPING!

Price when I purchased it: $23.00

Price right now: $15.00 but has to be purchased with another product to qualify for this price.

Product description: (from cosme-de.com site)

Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream (also known as Blemish Balm Cream) makes your skin tone clean and natural by concealing blemishes with excellent skin coverage. It is a multi functional makeup cream with blocking UV Rays, whitening and wrinkle care effects and simplifies makeup. Its moisturized application with W/S texture makes sleek skin tone while supplying moisture and nutrition at the same time.

This is a multi function BB Cream with effect of UV blocking, whitening and wrinkle care, creating perfect cover makeup.
After basic skin care, apply an appropriate amount along the skin texture and finish with powder. Do not need to apply sun cream in addition.

It comes with two shades:

I got the #23 which is the Natural Beige

MY SHADE IN OTHER BRANDS:
MAC: It's been a year since I last got matched by a MAC MUA and she told me I am NC30.
MAKE UP FOREVER: I am #123 in their HD Invisible Foundation
NARS: I am Stromboli in Nars Sheer Glow foundation

MY TAKE:
PROS: It is very light, it doesn't look cake-y, it's easy to blend, it has this kind of like powdery finish which I really like because it looks natural! I like the fact that it has already SPF in it, so I don't have to worry about applying sunscreen to my face. It has whitening - which is great if you have uneven skin tone. It also has anti-wrinkle properties which is good. I really love this BB cream better than my L'egere BB cream before because of the effect it gives my skin.

(with flash)

(without flash)

CONS: It is not readily available (at least in my area). It can be drying. At least to me, because I have to use moisturizer or else it kind of look like I have dry patches on my chin area. It is also not "night friendly" What I mean by that is, if you are wearing this at night and you photograph yourself, you will have like a white cast. Your face will look much lighter than your entire body. I also don't like that they don't come in other shades. It would be better if they'll come up with darker shades.

OVERALL: I like it very much! I will repurchase for sure!

Hello Kitty Sleep Over

Another back dated post. OMG I'm so behind with  my post.. but since I don't have 16 hour shifts, I'm able to stay up late and work on my blog posts. Hahaha ^^

The Hello Kitty Sleep Over happened last August. We all agreed to wear pajama with something hello kitty in it :)

I am wearing my VS Vneck ^^

FACE: I have no idea if I used a Nars Sheer Glow foundation or just my MAC Dame Edna this day.

CHEEK: Rock and Republic "lust" blush

EYES: MAC Color 4 Quad

The beginning of our day, Giang, Christina, Ria, Angelique, and Diana picked me up at my place and we all went to Cabazon to check out some sales. I didn't buy anything though :P

Then we went to Costco to get some drinks. Here we are modeling our vodka! Hahaha! :P

After Costco, we went to Boiling Crab to get some food. We were hungry! Then we checked in to our hotel :)

Here's Giang fixing our drinks! ♥

Group picture!! :) It's so much fun.. Everyone's wearing V-necks :)

I was already getting tipsy. I was red! LOL! I always get red whenever I drink :|

We did mask too!! Look at us, looking so serious like  gangsters with our mask! Hahahah!!!

At around 2am, we went to buy some blueberry donuts! They're so yummy!!!

❀ We all fell asleep with the TV on ❀❀

The next day, everyone woke up at a different time. Christina was playing Angry birds when I woke up :) and I think some of us were still in bed for like 30 minutes, just chit-chatting :) Here's a pic of us getting ready.

Angelique gave us this Almond Champagne so we pose for it ^^ Thank you again Angelique! ♥

We went to the Imperial Beauty Supply

Imperial Beauty Supply
9411 Bolsa Avenue Suite A
WestminsterCA 92683

I love this place! Whenever I come here, I always get excited because it's full of cheap nail polish such as OPI, China Glaze, Nubar, Essie and many more. I used to buy OPI for its full price which is $9 but at Imperial, OPI is $3.80! See how much you can save if you go here? So if you live in So.cal, I suggest going to this place! It's highly recommended by the Nail polish queen: GIANG! ^^

After Imperial, we went to Santouka inside Mitsuwa and had Ramen. It was my 1st time eating it, and it was so good!! :D

This is the champagne that Angelique gave us, I bought some Ferrero because Ria said that this champagne tastes great with ferrero rocher :)

Overall, I had so much fun with these girls and I thank blogger for meeting these wonderful babes! ♥ I hope to meet more friends through here. Feel free to contact me because I like to know all of my readers better :)

Quick Post: Make Up Binge

Ok, so I am still at my parents' house and all of our stuff is still in boxes including almost all of my make up. We are living in a suitcase and I only have a small make up bag with my necessities on it like: BB cream, moisturizer, a palette (my fafi quad 1), 3 lipstick, 2 lipgloss, MAC fluidline, 2 mascaras and my eyelash curler. That's it.

But..

I accumulated another bag full of unused make up. I can't believe I am this addicted. I think sometimes I only buy make up just to have it, and not really use it. Most of my make up that are stored in the box is not used. I don't know if I'm collecting them, why I have a hard time using them (especially if its LE) or I'm just a hoarder. *sigh*

Do You have the same problem? I think I have a problem called Compulsive hoarding disorder which is excessive acquisition of possession and failure to use or discard them. Hahaha! *_*

San Diego Trip: Day 3!

...continuation

OK.. this is such a long overdue post.. and believe me, I have some stuff I need to post that happened way back in June. LOL! Sorry for being MIA/Inactive here at blogger. So many stuff has been happening lately (about my move) and I haven't even been on twitter that much ~__~

Anyway, we went to San Diego last month of Labor Day and here are the other posts I made:

and

It was such a lovely day that day. We decided to eat at The Mission.

The Mission has 4 stars with 400 reviews at Yelp. It's a little bit crowded but we didn't wait that long. Probably 20-25 minutes the most.

The first thing I  looked at is their coffee menu. I love the fact that they have so many choices for a coffee lover like me.

"the last legal vice"

I ordered Cafe Con Chocolate and it was so good!! I *died with goodness! Hahaha! The best coffee ever! Yes coffee and chocolate combined was heaven for me :P

Then the blueberry/strawberry pancakes I ordered were so good! I like how they decorated the plate. It makes it look yummy-er!

What made it better is that the food weren't that expensive, so that's plus points for me! :) The servers were also attentive, asking if every thing's alright etc. I definitely recommend this place if you're visiting San Diego :)

Next -- we went to Las Americas Outlet. Didn't buy that much stuff there, but I had to stop by CCO of course :P They have a good amount of MAC make up there. If you follow  me on twitter or my facebook page, you would see that I posted a picture of the MAC Make up inside that CCO :)

I missed out on this collection, and I was happy I saw that they have this already at the CCO :) Yay for discounted MAC. hahah! I wished they had the lipsticks as well there but they have only lipglass, and I'm not much of a fan of MAC's lipglass due to the stickiness.

I got: Prim and Proper blush, Bough Grey eyeshadow, Give me Liberty of London, and Dame's Desire.

The Day didn't end here but my battery did. Hahaha! I forgot to charge my camera's battery the night before so I wasn't able to take more pictures. Boo!

Anyway, I hope you'all are having a great day! Happy Weekend! ^_^
