Beauty Review: E.L.F. Cosmetics: LIPS

For the past 3 years, I have collected lip stuff (i.e. lipgloss, lip stain, lip balm) and only used a few. During winter my lips get chapped that no lip balm can help, so using lipstick usually is not a good idea for me because they go through the lines and chapped skin on my lips.

I was contacted by a representative from E.L.F. and she helped me get these products for review.

This is my bare lips. Yes my lips are heavily chapped, considering I already put some lip balm. It gets worse when its cold. So I'm so sorry if my lips are like this >_< I have tried taking pictures different days but its still the same so I just went ahead and just decided to just post these pictures.

PROS: It's cheap, it has lots of colors to choose from. I like the packaging because even though it's only 5 bucks, the packaging is still sleek! And even though my lips are super chapped, the lipstick actually helps my lips to "look better" because of its creaminess! It's great for everyday use. It doesn't contain paraben and it's 100% mineral based. It is also very pigmented. I love the "fiercely fuchsia" among all 3. It has this unique color that compliments my skin tone.

CONS: The color on the box doesn't seem to match the lipstick color. The color swatches seems different from http://www.eyeslipsface.com website. The lipstick color does wears off easily, at least for me. After I ate, the lipstick was all gone so I had to re-apply it. Don't kiss your boyfriend/husband with this lipstick because as any other lipstick, the color gets transfered to them. :P

OVERALL: I recommend this lipstick for everyday use! Even if you had to re-apply it after each time you eat, it doesn't matter because it's only $5 :) I suggest going through blogs that has swatches of these lipstick to know the true colors of each.

"PERFECT PINK"

PROS: It's not drying, It's cheap, only $1! It has ranges of colors to choose from. It's very shiny/glossy. 

CONS: I don't like clickable containers, because if it snaps and break, it won't work anymore. I don't like the sponge applicator either. That's just me though. I also find the colors very sheer. Not like the ones on the website. The only color that I like is the "strawberry" which has a hint of light red/pink almost coral color. I'm also not a fan of sticky lipgloss.

OVERALL: It's okay for a $1.00 lipstick if you like the lipgloss texture that is sticky and shiny. It's not my favorite though.

PROS: I love lip stains!!! This is such an amazing lip stain with long lasting power! For $3.00, this is such a nice product! You have the option on having matte lips or apply the lipgloss for a nice shiny lips. It's not drying as well, the stickiness is bearable also. They have great colors to choose from but I like what I chose. I like the packaging as well. Also this lip stain is very pigmented especially the "red carpet" lip stain.

CONS: It is a bit sticky but I really don't mind. That's all I can think of.

OVERALL: I think these lip stain are my favorites from the lips category. I don't have to re-apply them all day because of its long lasting power. I love these!!

Smells so good!!! It's cheap. It's also moisturizing! My lips are pretty chapped already and I don't think any lip balm can help my chapped situation! lol! But this is so portable and nice to carry around, I just don't think it works for me.

OVERALL: E.L.F. Cosmetics has great selection of lip stuff to choose from. They're very affordable as well. Their shipping was so fast. I ordered March 3, 2011 and it arrived March 9, 2011. They also are always emailing me coupons and great deals! Right now they are having LUCK OF IRISH Secret Sale for 30%, 40% or even 50%.

I didn't work 16 hours today. I actually was kind of expecting that they will make me stay but they didn't need me. I don't mind working double today because I'm only working 4 days this week. I have an OFF day on Saturday. We will be going to Adrian's family :) Cannot wait to have that day off!! It's been awhile for me to not work on a Saturday :D

I had a great day at work.. everyone is just so helpful! It amazes me how some people go beyond their means just to help fellow co workers. That's what I call team work! Anyway, I went home around 11pm and I saw some packages are waiting for me at home ready to be opened!! :D I was excited!

First package was from V L U X cosmetics! I was contacted by Vivian Duong from http://www.vluxcosmetics.com to review their palette. I was so excited to open it, such a sleek packaging! :D I squealed when I opened the palette to see pretty neutral shades. I will be reviewing them soon, and maybe create a look using the palette.

Look at all these make up in just one day. If you see my make up stash, so many unused make up, not getting any LOVE from me :( I worked so many hours and the only  make up I carry is my lip balm and lip stain -- sometimes a lipstick or lipgloss. I rarely use eyeshadow nowadays because I don't have time to do that before I go to work. Seriously, I love sleeping in. I'd rather get extra 15 minutes of sleep, than get up and pretty-fy myself. *sigh*

But, I admit, make up does make me happy! ♥ Seeing the stash of make up, used or unused makes me smile. .______. Anyway, it's almost day light saving time. Losing another hour of sleep. *sigh* Seriously, I want to do FOTD and do it on natural light but I'm always at work. Ahhh.. Hope you all are having a great week!
