Beauty Review: Sigma Brushes

FTC: These brushes are given for me for review purposes only. I did not get paid to do this review and I am not affiliated with this company.

NOTE: All of my Beauty reviews are based on my experience and are only my opinion. People can have different experience/reactions with any product and could be different with my experience. Also I am not here to compare MAC brushes and Sigma brushes as both are different companies, prices, and quality. I am only going to review SIGMA brushes and how I use them and what I think about them.

Are you new to make up? Wants to have good brushes but can't afford high end brushes? Sigma Brushes are great brushes to have if you are on a budget or just starting on learning how to apply make up. Brushes are important tools to have a flawless make up application.

Sigma sent me a Professional Brushes Complete Kit with Brush roll, and here's what I think about these brushes. I used these brushes for almost 3 weeks now.

SS Brush roll
What Do I think about the brush roll? For $20, it's a nice brush roll to have. All my other brushes (including my MAC brushes) fit in this brush roll. It's easy to clean, its very roomy, it fits all of my brushes and now its easier to store them and I don't have to worry about all of my brushes when I travel because I can just carry this brush roll with me. I actually bought another one for my MAC brushes :) So now I have two SS brush rolls. YAY! :3

These are my sigma brushes after I washed them, I put some hello kitty stickers on the bottom of each brush handle to personalized my brushes :3

Here's a closer look: top one is my Sigma brush and bottom one is my Mac brush

THE BRUSHES

SS 150/Powder Brush
This brush has natural bristles. Very soft. Its great to apply powder products. I use this with my MAC Hello Kitty Mystery powder to set my tinted moisturizer/BB cream. Sometimes I even use this to apply blush. The only thing I didn't like is it sheds like crazy! It leaves hair bristles on my face when I use this. I hope it will stop shedding. But all in all its a good powder brush.

SS 187/Duo Fibre Brush
This has a blend of natural and synthetic bristles. It can be used to create an "airbrushed" look. I use this whenever I use my cream blush because I like how it distributes the blush on my cheeks. It sheds but not as much as the SS 150. The bristles spreads really wide which I didn't like so I use my brush guard to maintain its shape. This can also be used when applying liquid or powder foundation.

SS 168/Large Angled Contour Blush
This brush has natural bristles and its absolutely one of my favorite SS brushes. Its very soft. Softer than any of my brushes. I just love using this with my powder blushes. This also can be used to contour face. Like any white bristles, sometimes the tint of my blushes discolors the white bristles, and I absolutely dislike it! So I wash/spot clean it after each use to prevent it from discoloration.

SS 190/Foundation Brush
It has synthetic bristles. This can be used for liquid or cream foundation/concealer. It can also be used to apply moisturizer. I personally don't the synthetic bristles of this brush, but I use this whenever I apply my Benefit tinted moisturizer. Sometimes it leaves streaks so I blend it using a foundation sponge. Its my least favorite brush.

SS 224/Tapered Blending Brush
This has natural bristles. It's very soft but firm. Its great for blending eyeshadows on our crease. I use windshield motion whenever I use this brush. I sometimes use this also to apply concealer around my nose because its great for blending.

SS 252/Large Shader Brush
This brush has natural bristles. Its also soft like any natural bristles. Its used to apply cream products such as cream concealer or paint pots or eye primer. Its too big for my lid so I use this to apply highlighter on my brow bone.

SS 226/Small Angled Brush
It has synthetic bristles. It can be used to apply cream or gel eyeliner. I use this to apply my Blacktrack liner or any eyeshadow to line my eyes. I personally LOVE this brush! I can say that this brush is better than small angled brush because SS 226 doesn't poke my eyes like the first one. It doesn't irritate my waterline because its so soft. Love it! I want another one of this ♥

SS 275/Medium Angled Shading Brush
This brush has natural bristles. Its used to apply darker shades on the crease or to apply highlighter on our brow bone. I use this to apply eyeshadows on my lid since its small enough to fit on my lids. Its also very soft.

SS 209/Eyeliner brush
This brush has synthetic bristles. This is used to apply eyeliner on our eyes. I actually thought this is a lip brush (lol) so I used this to apply my lip products and it works just fine. :3 Its firm enough to distribute the colors to my lips.

SS 209/Pencil Brush
This brush has natural bristles. Its used to apply color on the crease, lower lashes, outer corner of our eyes or smudge an eyeliner. I use this brush to create smoky eye by applying a dark color in my V shape/outer corners of my eyes then I use the SS 224 to blend the colors together. This brush is firm enough to add colors on my lower lash line.

SS 194/Concealer Brush
This has synthetic bristles. This is used to apply or blend any cream concealer under the eyes. It also can be used to conceal around our nose and lips area. I sometimes use this to blend eye primer if I don't want to use my fingers.

SS 239/Eye Shading Brush
This has natural bristles and also one of my favorite sigma brush. Its small enough for my lid. Its great for loose pigments also as it picks up color great. :3 I definitely need more eye shading brushes in my life :P

OVERALL
It's a great brush kit to have especially if you are in a budget. The brushes are soft, not scratchy on the face like some of the brushes that. These brushes are easy to clean. When I washed them, no black dye came out.

TIP: Use brush guard when drying your brushes in order to keep the shape of the brushes looking new, otherwise it will just spread like a flower and will look ugly. Also don't forget to wash the handle also as your hands might be dirty when handling them.

Here is my MAC brushes with my Sigma Brush roll.
